HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Steel salty charters was founded in 2012 by the regionally renowned captain Morgan with one simple mission in mind, to share his love of the great outdoors with others, and provide his clients with the best experience possible on the water. Morgan grew up on the water, fishing, learning the bays, and the best tactics to target the fish within them. Throughout the last 30 years Morgan has fine-tuned his craft, tuning his hobby into a way of life.

As his business grew so did the steel salty crew, with the first addition being captain Colton. Captain Colton is an expert in the Galveston bay complex and specializes in targeting big game fish species, such as shark and alligator gar; as well as table fare species. Colton has demonstrated his skills in the competitive fishing world and has won dozens of fishing tournaments throughout his career.

Captain Coby was the second addition to the team. Coby is an experienced fisherman and highly proficient in chocolate bayou and its estuary’s. Throughout his life he has been a waterfowl enthusiast and backcountry fisherman. His specialty’s include waterfowl hunting and targeting table fare species such as redfish, trout, and flounder on light tackle.

Anglers of any age and experience are welcome onboard. Whether you are a seasoned fisherman or have never held a rod before we will guide you through the process to help you have a successful and enjoyable experience. Safety is our top priority on the water.
